POLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – National comedian Jim Gaffigan was in town Friday for a good cause.
Gaffigan donated his time to appear at The Lake Club for the yearly fundraising gala, directly benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown.
Organizers of the event said the club helps build better futures for the children of Youngstown.
“It’s a place for them to go after school with a positive message, help with their homework, a meal for them adult support, emotional support and a place to keep them off the streets,” Boys and Girls Club President Chris Muransky.
Muransky said the gala is one of the Boys and Girls Club’s biggest fundraisers.
Gaffigan has performed stand-up comedy across the United States and has his on television show, “The Jim Gaffigan Show,” which appears on TV Land and Comedy Central.
