Ardella Elaine Randall

Ardella Elaine was born June 27, 1932 in Dickey, ND the daughter of Edwin and Hilma (Peterson) Larson.

Ardella attended school in Dickey, ND. She worked at Ah Gwah Ching State Hospital near Walker, MN for two years.

On June 18, 1952, she married Gerald Randall. They worked on the family farm, 5 miles south of Dickey, where they raised their five children. Ardella was a member of the Homemakers Club and she enjoyed making a home for her family by sewing and gardening. She loved feeding the birds and holding her dog, Rosie. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren.

Ardella passed away November 22, 2016 at the Oakes Community Hospital at the age of 84 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Randall, and five children; Debbie (Mike) Grimes of Mesa, AZ, Dwight (Sheila) Randall of Steele, ND, Dorothy (Harlan) Podoll-Heinrich of LaMoure, ND, Darwin Randall of Fargo, ND, and Sue (Jeff) LaPan of Dickey, ND.

She is survived by ten grandchildren: Shannon Brown, Melissa (AJ) Smith, Andrew Randall, Adam (Alex) Randall, Abby Randall, Eric (Rachel) Podoll, Loren Podoll, Brice Podoll, Chase LaPan, Beth LaPan and three great grandchildren: Seth Stewart, Josh Stewart, and Amy Jo Smith.

Ardella was preceded in death by her sisters: Ellen Goehring, Irene Randall, Jueletta Ellingson, Fern and Joyce in infancy and brother Dale Larson.

The visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in LaMoure. Her funeral will take place at 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 also at the funeral home. Memories may be shared and viewed at www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers the family, asks that memorials be given to the Dickey Community Cemetery.
