Houston Rodeo Live: Chris Stapleton In Concert Friday

Sure, there's 'Tennessee Whiskey,' but Stapleton, a multiple Grammy award winner, will bring a lot more to NRG Stadium Friday night.

HOUSTON, TX — The rodeo winds down this weekend, but not without some pizazz at NRG Stadium. Rising star Chris Stapleton brings his raspy sounds on Friday night, followed by Brad Paisley on Saturday. It all wraps up Sunday with Garth Brooks, who kicked off the rodeo lineup on Feb. 27.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) is in its final weekend. So far there has been outstanding rodeo performances, the annual barbecue cook-off and 17 can't-miss concerts. Big music acts like Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, OneRepublic, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band, Chris Young, Little Big Town, Blake Shelton, Leon Bridges, Calibre 50, Kelsea Ballerini and Jason Aldean have already played.

The shows opened on Tuesday (Feb. 27)

  • Weekday rodeos start at 6:45 p.m. The entertainer(s) takes the stage at approximately 8:45 p.m.
  • Weekend rodeos start at 3:45 p.m. The entertainer(s) takes the stage at approximately 5:45 p.m.

Stapleton has lots of top hits, but we chose "Broken Halos," which was recorded at the CMA Awards.
