Loomis armored truck company offers reward in Northeast Portland robbery

Loomis Armored U.S., LLC. announced a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people who robbed a Loomis employee Friday morning at the OnPoint Community Credit Union in Northeast Portland.

According to Portland Police, an employee for Loomis was carrying two cases of money from an armored car to an ATM machine at the credit union branch at 1720 NE 9th Ave. The employee told police that a man came and grabbed the cases from her and ran north on Northeast 9th Avenue.

The cases are described as 18" x 8" hard black plastic cases, similar in size to shoeboxes. The amount of money in each box has not been disclosed.

The suspect is described as a man in his early to mid-20s, 6 feet tall, and a thin build. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket with a sports team logo and with the hood up. He was also wearing white gloves.

The victim was not hurt in this robbery and no weapons were used.
