No cause of death released after man killed in Newark

Newark, N.Y. (WHAM) - No cause of death has been released following an autopsy on a Lyons man who was killed last month in Newark.

Newark Police say 27-year-old Frederick Thomas III was killed on September 26 after a fight at a house party. Family members say the fight was over getting a ride home.

Police said Thomas was punched and fell. He died just a few days later.

Wayne County Acting District Attorney Christopher Bokelman has reviewed all available statements and forensic evidence and will be submitting this case to the Wayne County Grand Jury later this month.

Criminal charges are pending the outcome of the grand jury hearing.
