As if a Kiwi detective, 60's advertising copywriter and dystopian sex slave weren't enough, Elisabeth Moss has another meaty role on her horizon.
The award-winning thespian revealed to journalist Baz Bamigboye that her next project is set to be a biopic of the medical heroine Florence Nightingale.
Apparently, after the Golden Globe ceremony on Sunday, at which 35 year-old Elisabeth Moss took away a globe as Best Actress in a TV Drama for her role as Offred in The Handmaid's TaleThe Handmaid's Tale, Moss spoke to the Daily Mail writer.
She explained to him that she is in the early stages of developing a film about Nightingale because she is 'fascinated by her.'
Nightingale was an English nurse who travelled with 38 others to Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1854 during the Crimean war.
Despite women being officially barred from the upper parts of the medical profession, Nightingale tirelessly fought doctors caring for soldiers to ensure better conditions.
Nightingale was later awarded for her services by Queen Victoria and has a lasting legacy in the medical profession.
Moss believes her story is still relevant, 'because nothing much has changed.'
We think it's a match made in heaven because, as the actress said, 'she believed in getting things done.'
