Human remains found in Shady Side, Md.

SHADY SIDE, Md. (ABC7) — Anne Arundel County Police report that human remains were found in Shady Side, Md. Wednesday afternoon.

At about 1:30 p.m. officers responded to a call for human remains found in the area of Holly Drive and Chesapeake Drive.

Officers found skeletal remains on the shore line that washed ashore. Investigators say the sex, age, race are unknown at this time.

The Medical Examiner’s Office determined that the remains were human, but the cause and manner of death are unknown. There will be an autopsy.

Police did not say if the death was of a suspicious nature.
