MANLIUS, NY - "Murphy's Law," an Irish-themed pub located in the village of Manlius, has pushed back its grand opening several times.

First announced in 2015, the opening has been delayed so many times residents began questioning if it would ever open.

John Diamantopoulos, a partner in the Manlius venture, told Syracuse.com| The Post-Standard that the delays have simply been due to "other obligations" and the owners' involvement in the chain's other restaurants.

Although there have been some glitches in construction, the pub is outfitted and hiring has started, Diamantopoulos said.

The pub's liquor license is pending, according to the state Liquor Authority online site.

Based in Rochester, the eatery has two other restaurants in Rochester. It is owned  by Diamantopolous, Mark Chiarenza and Marty Cordy.

The restaurant, located in the lower level of Madison Row - a mixed-use development at the corner of Stickley Drive and Route 92 -  is slated now to open in mid-July.

The pub will first host some private events for local officials, and now will announce a grand opening, Diamantopoulos said.

Murphy's Law also is planning a fourth location in Canandaigua at the site of the former MacGregor's Grill  & Tap Room at 759 S. Main St.

The 6,500-square-foot Manlius pub will have seating for 150 people, and also will have a venue for parties which can accommodate another 100, Diamantopoulos has said.
