Man stabbed to death outside grocery store on North Side
Pittsburgh authorities say David Umstead suspected of killing Delrio Ivy
An arrest has been made in connection with a deadly stabbing outside a North Side grocery store.
"Calls from the public as a result of a recent media report made it possible to identify the actor, David Umstead. The 30-year-old man lives in Pittsburgh but has no permanent address. He will face a homicide charge," said a statement from the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department.
Police said the victim -- Delrio Ivy, 58, of Manchester -- was apparently stabbed in the neck and torso during a fight near the Giant Eagle parking lot on Cedar Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 29.

Police said Ivy and his killer were walking when they started to argue. It's unclear what the two were arguing about, however, because police said the video is grainy and there is no audio.
Police recovered the weapon, a multi-tool knife.
Ivy's family did not wish to talk to reporters after his death, only asking the community for prayers.
"When they said '58-year-old Delrio Ivy,' it almost -- wowee, I was so shocked," said a friend, Curtis Tucker. "He was a good man. Actually, I grew up with him."
"I just seen him yesterday on East Ohio. We talked and everything. I wasn't expecting this," said another friend, Candy Branch. "He's very friendly, talkative, yeah, he's a good guy."
