U.S Coast Guard rescues two men and their dogs from fishing vessel in the Bahamas

This video shows two men and their extremely grateful dogs being winched to safety after their boat began to fill up with water in the Bahamas.

Each man is pulled up with their dog on their lap. One has what looks to be a golden retriever while the other has a labrador.

The pooches look very happy to have been rescued as they enjoy a tickle behind the ears from the U.S. Coast Guard crew once they are safely in the helicopter.

The Coast Guard rescued the men and their dogs from a 55-foot fishing vessel 80 miles west of Great Inagua, Bahamas.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Florida, arrived on the scene, hoisted the men and their dogs to safety and transported them back to U.S. soil.

After the boat lost all the electronics and steering on board, but neither man nor the dogs were injured.

The Clearwater air station is the largest and busiest air station in the U.S. Coast Guard.

As well as its local area, it also covers Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean basin, and the Bahamas - where it works with the DEA on anti-drug and migrant smuggling operations.
