As Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon prepare to square off in a political primary brawl, Caroline Kennedy is relieved to not be running.
A source says of the former Japan ambassador under the Obama administration, “[She] was at Eli’s Market on the UES. She was dressed very low-key and was buying food for her Seder.”
(Her husband Edwin Schlossberg is Jewish.)
When a fellow shopper asked Kennedy if she had any plans to run for governor, she shrugged and said, “Not a chance — it’s way too much work!”
In ’08, Kennedy was eyeing the NY Senate seat vacated by Hillary Clinton, but withdrew from consideration in ’09.
