AKRON, Ohio -- Junior running back Ethan Wright lit up the scoreboard for four touchdowns as Manchester downed visiting Triway 32-20 on homecoming.

With a weather delay holding up the start by a half hour, the Panthers (4-1) had time to prepare for the wet grass and focus on the ground game led by Wright. After a big 64-yard run by Wright to get Manchester on the board and a missed point after, the Panthers' offense sat stagnant for the rest of the first half.

Surrendering a touchdown by the Titans (2-3) before the half, Manchester went into the break trailing 7-6 and needed to get things going.

Opening up the third quarter, Wright again found the end zone on a short 4-yard run to take a 12-7 lead midway through the third quarter. Slipping into the passing game, Wright grabbed a 9-yard pass from senior quarterback Nick Mayer for a quick score and the Panthers' offense was alive.

Mayer would keep the ball in the air and found A.J. Johnson for a 61-yard passing score to give Manchester a 26-13 lead with just over 10 minutes left.

Sharing the workload in the backfield, junior fullback Hunter Foster rolled in for an electric 43-yard score with under three minutes to play before Wright put the icing on the cake with a 40-yard touchdown sprint  to send the Panther faithful off with a homecoming victory.

Staying at home next week, Manchester will welcome Fairless as Triway will host Canal Fulton Northwest.
