A brand new promo trailer for Edward Zwick's upcoming film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016) has been released via Entertainment Tonight. Currently, the film is set to open in theaters across the United States on October 21.
The cast of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back includes Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Robert Knepper, Sue-Lynn Ansari, Chase Savoie, and Patrick Heusinger.
The original film was directed by Christopher McQuarrie in 2012 and is currently available on Blu-ray courtesy of Paramount Media Home Entertainment. You can see our listing and review of this release here.
I know it's a bit early to judge the film but looks like the really nice old-school style/70's vibe that made Christopher McQuarrie's movie so special has totally vanished and this sequel is just gonna be a pretty generic action flick.
You know, I honestly believe that Tom Cruise is the only actor I can think of who is CONSISTENTLY in films that are major blockbusters. There is not one movie of his that ever fails to make at least twice its budget and get a release in every single movie theater.
I just read the book that this movie came from, my first ever in the series, (yes, I know it is number 18 in the series, but it was in a bargain bin and I had a 16 hour bus ride ahead of me and the movie was awesome, so I ventured) and it was awesome, I finished it quicker than I do most books. Now I'm even more excited for the movie, and I've started reading the series in chronological order and had my love of reading re-invigorated. Try the books by Lee Child.
