The father of an Upstate teen killed in a crash in October has been charged in connection with the crash.
Nick Adams' 17-year-old daughter, Jessica Adams, was killed in the crash on Oct. 13 on Highway 25 in Travelers Rest.
Madison Bagwell, 19, was driving the car in which Jessica Adams was a passenger, troopers said.
Adams was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center on Thursday, according to the detention center website.
He faces three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, two counts of transferring gifts of beer/wine to a minor, one count of child neglect and two counts of parties to a crime, according to the website. A $450 bond was set on both counts of transferring gifts of beer/wine to a minor. No bond was set on the rest of the charges.
Warrants served on Adams say he provided alcohol to Bagwell before the crash.
"Nicholas Jimmy Wayne Adams did individually, willfully and knowingly, purchase, disburse and provide alcoholic beverages to Madison Michelle Bagwell and willfully and knowingly allowed Madison Michelle Bagwell, driver, to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol," the warrants said.
Another warrant, listed as outstanding in court records, said he endangered a 13-year-old boy by providing alcohol to Bagwell because Bagwell was supposed to take the boy home.
A grand jury indicted Bagwell on the felony DUI charges on Nov. 30.
Bagwell is also charged with child endangerment and marijuana possession in the Oct. 13 crash, troopers said.
Troopers said Bagwell lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. They said the vehicle then overturned and Jessica Adams was ejected and died at the hospital.
Four other people were also in the vehicle, troopers said.
Days after the crash, Nick Adams spoke to WYFF News 4 and said he forgives Bagwell. See video above.
