VA Breaks Ground On New Port Richey, Zephyrhills Facilities

The veterans clinics will serve east and west Pasco County.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital is celebrating the long-awaited groundbreaking for the future consolidated New Port Richey Community-Based Outpatient Clinic at 7932 Little Road today and for the Zephyrhills Community-Based Outpatient Clinic at 37827 Eiland Blvd. on Friday.

The New Port Richey CBOC will consolidate the five existing clinical leases in the New Port Richey area: Port Richey Satellite Outpatient Clinic, New Port Richey Eye Clinic, New Port Richey Home Based Primary Care, New Port Richey Mental Health Center, and the New Port Richey Dental Clinic.

The consolidated clinic will be approximately 114,000 square feet and will provide outpatient care to veteran patients in the west Pasco County area.

The Zephyrhills CBOC will consolidate the existing clinic and Mental Health clinic, expand Primary Care from seven to 10 exam rooms, expand Mental Health from five to six rooms and add new services for Podiatry and Physical Therapy.

Special guests at the New Port Richey ceremony included former U.S. Rep. Mike and current U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis.

Florida Department of Veterans Affairs Executive Director Danny Burgess and U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis will speak at the Zephyrhills ceremony at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7.
