Empowering New Book Shares Life Lessons and Uplifts Women After surviving a chaotic childhood, a failed marriage and a battle with depression, author Claudette P. Crouse graduated from Harvard and established herself as a successful business woman with over 25 years of experience working for national and international corporations. Crouse worked hard to learn from her past experiences and climb the corporate ladder inspiring her to launch the Crouse Initiative which is focused on women's empowerment. She now shares the wisdom and lessons she learned in her new book, "When the Closed Heart Opens: Lessons Learned on the Journey of Life" to provide women and girls with the basic tools, strategies and tactics for them to improve all aspects of their lives just as she did.

A guide to self-empowerment, Crouse shares relatable stories from her life and educates readers on the importance of always learning from past experiences, especially those that are difficult. With her expertise, Crouse hopes the life lessons she shares will empower women and girls to believe in themselves, support one another, and inspire them to be successful both in and out of the corporate world.

"Life is a continuous learning process of renewing, of letting go and of recovery," said Crouse. "It is possible to recover from trauma and have a great life."
