Black Panther's Baltimore ties

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WBFF) - The new film "Black Panther" is expected to break box office records this weekend.

The manager at Cosmic Comix & Toys in Catonsville said they usually see an uptick in business around the release of a superhero movie, but this one feel special.

Black Panther comic writer Ta-Nehisi Coates grew up in Baltimore.

In addition to the Black Panther comics, Coates is a writer for The Atlantic magazine.
