Prep football: Ohio stars top West Virginia in BACF Classic

Reams, who was selected his team’s MVP, carried five times for 66 yards and caught a 46-yard pass. Also for Ohio, Rylan LaFollette of Monroe Central completed 3 of 7 passes for 124 yards and one touchdown, a 47-yard hookup with Gabe Rejonis of Bellaire. LaFollette also ran for a score.

For West Virginia, Parkersburg quarterback Kam Mace carried eight times for 41 yards and completed 11 of 27 passes for 153 yards and one touchdown, a 19-yarder to Aaron Turner of Point Pleasant. Turner was selected as West Virginia’s MVP. Jaiden Smith (St. Marys) had 15 carries for 69 yards and a TD for West Virginia.

Ohio led at halftime 28-13. The game was halted with 2:37 left in the fourth quarter after a Rejonis interception when he was tackled by Wirt County’s Aaron Peterman, who suffered an injury on the play.
