One of the best under-the-radar comics is coming back to Orlando.
Gary Gulman — who for many might be the best stand-up you’ve never heard of — is bringing his one-of-a-kind comedy to the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts at 8 p.m. on Monday, October 8. Tickets start at $35 and go on-sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 4, but there will be pre-sale access for Dr. Phillips Center members.
Part of his “Must be Nice!” tour, Gulman is the mastermind of one of my all-time favorite comedy bits. The topic is — wait for it — postal abbreviations for states showcases his master-level talent as a storyteller. I don’t send hardly any snail mail these days, but when I do I can’t not think about Gulman.
His television credits include HBO’s “Crashing” and “Inside Amy Schumer.” He also has stand-up specials already streaming on Netflix and Amazon.
