You won’t be seeing Tony Siragusa prowling NFL sidelines on Sundays this fall.
The former Ravens defensive tackle was not among the announcer pairings Fox announced for the 2016 season Tuesday. He had covered the NFL for Fox for 12 seasons.
Siragusa reportedly was on his way out in March, two months before former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis apparently got the boot from ESPN. (Watch out, Brian Billick! You might be next!)
After normally appearing with Kenny Albert and Daryl Johnston, Siragusa was partnered in 2015 with Thom Brennaman and Charles Davis. Ravens fans might not have seen much of him on the NFC-oriented Fox, but toward the end of his run with the network, there weren’t many who wanted to see more of “Goose.” If you search for tweets with the words “Siragusa” and “broadcast” from last season, you’ll most often see some version of “doesn’t add anything” sandwiched in between.
He did give us this, though.
Siragusa figures to stay busy. He hosts “Man Caves” on the DIY Network, and has appeared in an advertising campaign for Depend for Men, a brand of adult diapers.
