Strategic Vision is a research-based organization that is well versed in consumer and constituent decision-making for a wide range of Fortune 100 clients, including automakers. Each year the consultancy surveys tens of thousands of vehicle buyers to make a conclusive list of the "Most Loved Vehicles in America." This year's survey, which took place after 90 days of ownership, consisted of 34,064 consumers who purchased cars between October 2016 and April 2017.

For the fourth consecutive year, Strategic Vision has named the Dodge Charger among the “Most Loved Vehicles in America," and it is not difficult to see why. The Charger is considered to be the fastest, quickest and most powerful sedan in the world when paired with the 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI SRT Hellcat engine that is. Even when equipped with the efficient V6-powered engine, the Dodge Charger provides high-performance comfort and an aggressive road-ready appeal that earned it the nickname of being America's only four-door muscle car. If you think about it, there isn't really a sedan that can match up to the Charger; it seems to almost be in a category of its own.

As a spacious full-size sedan, the Dodge Charger seems to be untouchable with a wide array of options that cater to the needs and wants of the consumer. Choose from an all- or rear-wheel-drive package with either the award-winning V6 engine, 5.7-liter HEMI V8, 6.4-liter HEMI V8 or the incredible 6.2-liter SRT Hellcat. Regardless, every Dodge Charger comes standard with the innovative TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.

“Dodge Charger exemplifies the energy, design, performance and quality cues that exemplify passion,” said Christopher Chaney, senior vice president of Strategic Vision. “This is what the 'Most Loved Vehicle' award represents, and why Charger is the segment leader.”

According to FCA North America, Strategic Vision has spent the past four decades developing metrics that quantify emotion, culminating in The Edwards Commitment Scale, which captures emotional responses ranging from "I hate it" to "I love it." Strategic Vision's New Vehicle Experience Study scale becomes one of the key elements in its Customer Love Index, which measures love in different aspects as it pertains to each individual's experience. The culmination of the research and scales with dozens of survey questions determines the most loved cars in each segment.

Aside from the best-selling performance sedan, other winners included the Tesla Model X, Porsche Macan, Mini Cooper, the Corvette convertible and coupe, and a slew of pickup trucks.
