The second annual Northeast Kansas Wedding Expo had everything to plan for that special day.

"Dresses to photography to floral to food to food to tuxes. We had destinations for honeymoons. We had venues for weddings. We had everything in here that you could possibly need to plan a wedding,” the show coordinator Kate Leibsle said.

The event drew out many brides who said it makes their planning a little easier and less time consuming.

"Just to try and go to other venues and schedule those tours it takes a long time and so being able to do it all at once is very helpful,” soon to be bride Aimee Murphy said.

Several sampled some of the many services from more than 80 local vendors.

"Just for Topeka and the surrounding area Manhattan Emporia. Our brides don't have to go all the way to Kansas City or Lawrence or Wichita to find what they need to plan their wedding here,” Leibsle added.

Sunday’s event also helped the vendors connect with each other.

"Just to network with all the vendors that are here we were able to pass on some business to someone else because we didn't have some dates that were available, so I would have to say the networking was huge,” Arnold Downing Sr. from Mirror Me Downing explained.

Organizers and vendors hope to come together again next year for an even bigger event.
