ANAHEIM HILLS Anaheim police on Saturday identified a husband and wife who were found dead inside their home in what investigators believe was a murder-suicide.

Police said officers were called about 8:30 a.m. Friday after Natalie Rangel-Diaz and John Thomas Diaz, both 32, were discovered by relatives on the first floor of their home in the 700 block of South Morning Star Drive. The married couple appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds and a handgun was seen near the bodies, police said.

The couple’s 7-month-old daughter was also found unharmed in an upstairs bedroom, police said. The child was taken into protective custody pending follow-up from County of Orange Social Services.

Rangel-Diaz’s parents, who discovered the bodies, had come to the house to babysit their grandchild, police said.

While an investigation into the deaths is ongoing, police said they are not seeking any suspects and no arrests have been made in the case.
