Five people have died and six are missing as a result of last night's flash flood, Shenzhen's emergency department said a while ago. The death toll has risen as more bodies were recovered from Donghu Lake in Shenzhen's Luohu District.
The local emergency department is still searching for the six missing.
The riverway workers were dredging when floods flashed into underdrains they were working at.
