PETERBOROUGH, N.H. — Marilyn Sullivan, 84, of Peterborough, and formerly of Sterling, Mass., died in Peterborough, on Sunday, Feb. 16.

She was born on April 13, 1929, in Meddybemps, Maine, to Alice (Patten) and Roy Gillespie.

Mrs. Sullivan taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Alexander, Maine, before she was married. After her marriage in 1950, she moved to Massachusetts, where she lived in Boylston, then Sterling.

She lived in Florida for a short while before moving to Windham, Maine. She spent the last year in Peterborough.

Mrs. Sullivan was active in the Christian Science Church, loved gardening and cooking, and appreciated the wildlife around her home.

She is predeceased by her brother, Charles Gillespie, and her sister, Althea Mallory.

She is survived by her son, Richard and his wife, Wendy, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; her daughter, Faye and her husband, Bill Bishko of Peterborough; her grandson, Basil Bishko; her brothers, Allen and his wife, Lorraine, of Pembroke, Maine, and Lawrence, and his wife, Terry, of New Gloucester, Maine.
