$10,000 winning lotto ticket sits unclaimed, set to expire

Time is running out to claim a cool $10,000 lottery prize on a ticket sold in Gaffney earlier this year.

The South Carolina Education Lottery said Tuesday the owner of a Mega Millions ticket sold at Kangaroo Express #3961 on Hyatt Street in Gaffney in late March has yet to claim the prize.

The winning numbers are 7-25-43-56-59 with a Megaball of 13

The ticket was purchased before the March 27, 2018 drawing, and must be claimed in person at the Columbia Claims Center no later than 4 p.m. Friday. If mailed, the envelope must be postmarked no later than Sunday.

Lottery officials said unclaimed prizes are deposited in the Education Lottery Account to support educational programs in South Carolina.

Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
