‘A Night at the Oscars,’ Hollywood Concert Orchestra coming to the Wharton Center

The Hollywood Concert Orchestra’s program titled, “A Night at the Oscars” will be featured at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 in Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall.

Known as the “orchestra of the stars” and founded in 1999 by concert promoters John and Judith Giattino, the Hollywood Concert Orchestra is a large production in pop culture spectacle. The roster, which features hits from “Titanic,” “ET,” “Mission: Impossible” and more, will transport audiences on a nostalgic trip through cinema’s biggest triumphs.

This musical journey of Hollywood, post-1927, will also include scores and songs from “Schindler’s List,” “The Incredibles,” “The Wizard of Oz,” Forrest Gump” and “James Bond, 007.” A backdrop of the respective film’s visuals will accompany the scores to create a multi-sensory experience.
