A man and a woman were beaten to death Tuesday near Tropicana Avenue and Paradise Road, Metro said.

It happened just after 12 p.m. in the 5000 block of Palo Verde Road.  Metro Police says the suspect is in custody, and they’re not looking for anyone else connected to the crime.

A neighbor in the area told officers they saw the suspect roaming the streets covered in blood.  When officers arrived at the scene, they said they found the suspect inside the home along with the two victims.

Metro Police still hasn’t released the identity of the victims or the suspect, but 8 News NOW spoke with a woman named Mary Johnson who claims she’s the ex-wife of the man killed, and she identified the victims as Kelly and Robin Naples.

The woman said the suspect is Frank Interlicchia.  The woman said Interlicchia is a heroin addict.

Johnson said her ex-husband was a good man.

“He was always there to help anyone anything he could and unfortunately he’s paying the price today from helping somebody that needed help,” Johnson said.  “He was giving his heart to try and make someone else life better and because of that he’s lost his life and his wife’s life.”

According to detectives, the couple killed were married, and the suspect was temporarily staying with them in their home.  Investigators also believe the suspect may be a drug user, but they say they still don’t know what motivated him to attack the victims.

8 News NOW checked jail records and found Interlicchia has been charged with two counts of murder and home invasion.
