Alligator vs. python on Florida golf course

The python's head was inside the alligator's mouth.

NAPLES, Fla. -- It’s not unusual to see wildlife on golf courses in Florida, but some golfers stumbled upon a rare sight while trying to tee off last Friday.

A python wrapped round an alligator on the 10th hole of the Fiddler’s Creek golf course.

One golfer said the two were absolutely still the entire time he was on the tee box, even though the python’s head was in the gator’s mouth.

Pictures of the moment were posted on Facebook, and have since been shared thousands upon thousands of times.

Other golfers say they saw the alligator drag the snake into the water.

It’s unclear what happened after that, but they’re assuming the alligator won the battle.

The incident lasted four hours.

Security was on hand the entire time to make sure nobody got too close to the animals.
