Citizen Cope, Twelve Twenty-Four, six more shows announced for Musikfest Cafe

A popular indie singer-songwriter, producer and performer will return to perform at Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest Center in Bethlehem, it has been announced.

Citizen Cope, whose real name is Clarence Greenwood, plays an eclectic mix of blues, laid-back rock, soul and folk, and has a large and dedicated following, will perform a solo acoustic show at 8 p.m. Nov. 2. Tickets will be $35 and $40.

Cope’s show is among eight new performances announced for Musikfest Café.

Others include Twelve Twenty Four, which for 15 years has played orchestral, progressive-rock versions of Christmas songs similar to Trans-Siberian Orchestra, tributes to Foreigner and The Beatles and a holiday show by Rob Stoneback Big Band.

Cope over 15 years has written songs that were recorded by artists as varied as Carlos Santana, Dido and Richie Havens. He was scheduled to perform at Musikfest Café in June 2015, but canceled when he got an opening act slot on tour with Counting Crows and played Sands Bethlehem Event Center that August.

He also played a sold-out, solo acoustic performance at Musikfest Café in February 2012.

Twelve Twenty-Four will perform at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 16. Tickets are $25-$32.

Established in 2002, the group includes a six-piece rock band, multi-piece string section and a variety of vocalists. It will perform holiday classics, as well as songs from its 2012 release, “Light in the Dark,” and 2010 debut CD, “Miracle on Rock Street.”

Hot Blooded: The Foreigner Experience, 7:30 p.m. Nov. 24. Tickets are $22-$28.

The Weeklings (Beatles Tribute), 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25. Tickets are $20-$25.

Swingin’ the Holidays with the Rob Stoneback Big Band, 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22. Tickets: $18-$22.

The Every Woman Comedy Tour with Aida Rodriguez, April Macie and Chaunte Wayans, 9 p.m. Dec. 30. Tickets are $26-$29.

The Blues Brotherhood, with Bones Malone (Blues Brothers Tribute), 7:30 p.m. Jan. 12. Tickets are $20 advance; $25 day of show.
