Since officially taking over ownership in 2016, Mr. Rooney has made several new improvements to the warehouse. He implemented a major redesign, moving equipment around the facility to speed and improve workflow. He also added several high-tech machines and intends to continue with the upgrades.
Mr. Rooney also discussed his use of marketing strategies, such as digital marketing and traditional advertising to assist him in growing his business, building his brand, and creating awareness for his product. "We've invested a lot of time, effort and money," he said of the campaigns.
In terms of his employes, Mr. Rooney said he enjoys the family aspect and environment of Suburban Marble & Granite. He enjoys offering them increased career opportunities as well as competitive salaries and other benefits.
