Richmond Folk Festival: Richmond’s 11th annual Folk Festival brings over thirty performers and artists specializing in traditional music, dances, and art from all over the world. Featuring Cajun, Italian, Congolese, Appalachian, Gospel, Zydeco, Blues, Afghan, Cuban, Rockabilly, Bulgarian, Gamelan, Sri Lankan, Brazilian and more international and American genres. And the latest from their website: “The Richmond Folk Festival will go on Rain or Shine!”

Pumpkin Patch Days: Every weekend in October, the Ginter Park United Methodist Church will host events while selling pumpkins. Friday will include a storytime for the young-uns and Saturday will feature a Farmer’s Market

First Fridays: It happens only once a month, but all the galleries and art spaces in Richmond open their doors and host live music, art, and all around good times

A Benefit for the Home Featuring Jackass Flats and Jouwala Collective: A couple local bands play a benefit concert to raise money to help Richmond native Carter Anderson, who’s long been homeless, pay for his new home
