Three arrested in Maurepas meth bust
MAUREPAS, LA (WAFB) - Three men have been arrested and charged following the discovery of a meth lab Thursday evening by Livingston Parish detectives and the Tri-Parish Task Force.
Narcotics agents found various materials commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, such as ammonia nitrate, camp fuel, plastic bottles and lithium batteries. In addition, agents found a glass pipe that they say could be used to consume meth. Agents also found a large amount of processed meth.
Christopher Wayne Meyers, age 25, and Christopher Hughes, 26, both of Maurepas have been charged with Operation of a Clandestine Meth Lab, Possession of Schedule II CDS, Felony Child Desertion, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $176,000 for both.
Darrol W. Adams, Jr., age 42, of Maurepas has been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS. His bond has been set at $120,000.
Two children at the scene were removed and placed with family members.
