TEO: POLICE AT THE SCENE OF A SHOOTING, 42ND STREET AND BROADWAY. LETICIA: MIKE IS AT THE SCENE, WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED? MIKE: SOUTH OF BROADWAY, 6TH AVENUE, ROADBLOCK BEGINS SOUTHBOUND. FLASHING LIGHTS CLOSER TO 7TH AVENUE, EVEN EIGHTH AVENUE. THE NEIGHBORHOOD NEXT TO THIS WAS IMPACTED. SAN RAFAEL. 3:00 THIS MORNING, A SHOOTING HERE INVOLVING TWO VICTIMS, AN ADULT MALE WAS SHOT TO DEATH AT THE SCENE AND A SECOND WAS DESCRIBED AS A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL WHO WAS ALSO SHOT. SHE WAS TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL. DON’T HAVE AN UPDATE ON HER CONDITION. ACCORDING TO THE DEPARTMENT, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY INFO ON WHO THE SUSPECT/S IS BEHIND THIS DOUBLE SHOOTING. THAT IS PART OF THIS INVESTIGATION CONTINUING THIS HOUR WITH FOUR HOURS AFTER THE SHOOTING. SOUTH OF BROADWAY, 42ND, A LOT OF ACTIVITY AS THIS IS ONGOING. MOMENTS AGO, A SECOND SHOOTING, FURTHER AWAY FROM HERE IN THE 7400 BLOCK OF 17TH AVENUE. NO IDEA IF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS. POLICE REPORTING THEY HAVE A SECOND SHOOTING THEY ARE TRYING TO GET DETAILS ON AT THIS POINT IN TIME. THIS SHOOTING, 42ND STREET, INVOLVING A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL AND AN ADULT MALE DEAD.

New Year’s Day was off to a violent start on Friday in Sacramento with two deadly shootings reported in the city.First, a man died and a 15-year-old girl was hospitalized with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries following a shooting on the 3200 block of 42nd Street in Oak Park around 3:05 a.m., Sacramento police said. Officers began to give aid to the man but he died at the scene. Investigators believe a suspect may have known the victims, police said. Another shooting was reported around 6:32 a.m. on the 7400 block of 17th Avenue in the Tahoe Park area with three victims. A man who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene, Sacramento police said. Two women were taken to a local hospital with gunshot injuries, police said.On Saturday, police said in an update that one of the women had died, and the other is expected to survive.Police said they did not yet have information to release about a possible suspect. They do not believe both shootings are related. Investigators are asking any witnesses to contact the dispatch center at 916-808-5471 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at 916 -443-4357. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to $1,000 in a reward. Investigators believe a suspect may have known the victims, police said.
