“A Capitol Fourth”: With coronavirus concerns keeping people away from public fireworks displays, the 2020 concert will feature tributes to first responders, and performances from Patti LaBelle, Vanessa Williams, John Fogerty, Renee Fleming, Trace Adkins, Chrissy Metz, Kelli O’Hara, The National Symphony Orchestra, and more. John Stamos hosts. (8 p.m. Saturday, PBS)

“Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular”: The 44th annual celebration will also look a bit different this year, as the coronavirus pandemic has banned gathering for fireworks displays. This year’s two-hour telecast includes fireworks displays that were filmed over a few days in New York City. Beyond that, “Today” anchor Craig Melvin hosts the show, which will include performances by Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Lady A, John Legend, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley. (8 p.m. Saturday, NBC)

“Outcry”: A documentary series traces the story of high school football star Greg Kelley, whose life went into free-fall when he was convicted of the sexual assault of a child, facing a 25-year prison sentence, until a movement emerged demanding the case be re-examined. (10 p.m. Sunday, Showtime)

“Desus & Mero”: The hippest late-night talk show around returns from a break. (11 p.m. Sunday, Showtime)

“The Vote”: An “American Experience” two-night documentary tells the story of the campaign waged by women to gain the right to vote. (10 p.m. Monday, PBS)

“Tough As Nails”: Phil Keoghan created and hosts a new reality competition, described as a celebration of “everyday Americans who get their hands dirty while working long, hard hours to keep the country running.” (8 p.m. Wednesday, CBS)

“Cannonball”: Mike “The Miz” Mizanin, of WWE fame, hosts a new competition series in which contestants take on a number of watery challenges to see who will win a $10,000 prize. (8 p.m. Thursday, USA Netwokr)

“Stateless”: This Australian-made series focuses on four people who are held in an immigration detention center in the desert in Australia. The cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Jai Courtney, Asher Keddie, Fayssal Bazzi, Dominic West and Cate Blanchett. (Available to stream beginning Wednesday, Netflix)

“Close Enough”: A new animated comedy series about, as the description says, “a married couple, their five-year-old daughter, and their two divorced best friends/roommates all living together on the east side of Los Angeles.” (Available to stream beginning Thursday, HBO Max)

“Expecting Amy”: Comedy star Amy Schumer takes viewers inside her experience with her own pregnancy, as well as her work creating a comedy special. (Available to stream beginning Thursday, HBO Max)

“The Baby-Sitters Club”: Based on the best-selling book series, the new show follows a group of middle-school students as they begin their babysitting business. (Available to stream beginning Friday, Netflix)

“Hamilton”: The phenomenally popular re-imagining of American history comes to home screens, in this filmed version of the original Broadway production. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s book, music and lyrics incorporate musical theater traditions with hip-hop, jazz and contemporary R&B, for a groundbreaking show inspired by Ron Chernow’s book, “Alexander Hamilton.” Filmed in June of 2016 at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre, “Hamilton” features members of the original cast. Miranda stars as Hamilton, and he’s joined by Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Jonathan Groff as King George; Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton; and Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton.
