Wisconsin-Superior scored two goals in the second period and goaltender Oscar Svensson posted 36 saves in the Yellowjackets' 3-1 victory over host Wisconsin-River Falls on Thursday night.
Chad Lopez gave UWS (8-13-3 overall, 2-3-2) a 1-0 lead midway through the first period only for the Falcons (10-9-4, 1-4-2) to equalize on Charlie Singerhouse's short-handed goal with two seconds left in the period.
Troy York and Andrew Dunham tallied 71 seconds apart in the second and Svensson preserved the win with 16 saves in the final period.
