Woman robbed in her home in Eastern Cape

PORT ELIZABETH - Uitenhage police in the Eastern Cape on Monday launched a manhunt after a 42-year-old woman was robbed at her home in KwaNobuhle.

Police spokeswoman Captain Gerda Swart said it was alleged that two unknown males forcefully entered the house in Nkonyeni Street and threatened the woman on Monday. 

Swart said the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money, a television set, electronic equipment, clothing and groceries and then fled in her Citroen vehicle. 

Swart said a team of detectives was following up on all leads. 

Police are investigating a case of house robbery.

No arrests have been made.
