|The Arizona Supreme Court delayed the effective date of the 1864 near-total abortion ban, which could mean it never will got into effect. The Arizona Attorney General's Office said the Civil War-era law wouldn't go into effect until Sept. 26. But the plan is to keep delaying it so it never became the law of the land.

|Two young men who were charged in connection to two teen violence cases in the East Valley have taken plea deals. Deleon Haynes and Jacob Pennington both pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. They were involved in two different attacks at a Gilbert In-N-Out parking lot.

|The Toyo Fire was first reported on Friday on federal land in Graham County near San Carlos. It has since grown to be 1,711 acres. As of 9 p.m. Monday the fire is approximately 38% contained.
