Want to ensure the kids don't hog your PC? New mouse has a real, dead spider embedded in it - and it glows in the dark

A new computer mouse is the ultimate deterrent for 'unauthorised users' of your home PC - it has a genuine dead spider embedded in it.

The $28 mouse has a real spider embedded in clear acrylic, and is lit up by LED lights.

The gadget plugs into any PC via USB, and has colour-changing lights to throw spider-shaped shadows across the room at night.

'My husband is terrified of spiders and he is getting this for Christmas,' said one delighted reviewer.

'I couldn't resist when I saw it and in person it really does look icky. Which is the point.'

The unique mouse is marketed by the Smithsonian museum.

The museum also sells a similar device with a green chafer beetle embedded in acrylic.

'I wanted something to scare a co-worker,' says a reviewer. 'This did the job. And it looks awesome to boot, with color changing lights in the mouse to enhance its eerieness.'
