'My husband is terrified of spiders and he is getting this for Christmas,' said one delighted reviewer.
'I couldn't resist when I saw it and in person it really does look icky. Which is the point.'
The unique mouse is marketed by the Smithsonian museum.
The museum also sells a similar device with a green chafer beetle embedded in acrylic.
'I wanted something to scare a co-worker,' says a reviewer. 'This did the job. And it looks awesome to boot, with color changing lights in the mouse to enhance its eerieness.'
