BROOKFIELD, WI — Construction is nearing completion on the $5 million, two-story Sendik’s Food Market renovation at The Corners of Brookfield.

Sendik’s announced that it will officially debut its new grocery and home store concept in mid-October. The 40,000 sq. ft. re-imagined shopping experience will include new services, expanded selections and greater convenience, company officials said.

Among Sendik’s new offerings at its Town of Brookfield store will be a sophisticated bistro area, complete with an extensive list of wine by the glass, local craft beer on tap, gourmet espresso drinks, nitro cold brew on tap, fresh-squeezed, cold-pressed juices and homemade smoothies.

The bistro will also offer a menu of shareable small plates and appetizers, and seating for 25. Additionally, a new grill station will give shoppers the opportunity to order favorites from a grill-specific menu or have freshly selected meats and seafood grilled in real-time.

Among the renovations at Sendik’s will be the addition of a 7,000 square foot Sendik’s Home store on the main shopping center level. The store will feature carefully-curated clothing
selections, an in-store dressing room, an expansive floral shop, international gourmet food selections and an array of brand-name kitchen products like LeCrueset, Staub, All Clad, Zwillings-Henckels and more.

A mezzanine area between the home store and grocery and bistro level below will act as a gathering space for customers and community members alike. In addition, a new walkway will provide direct pedestrian access between Union Street and Bluemound Road.

More details about the store's grand opening will be shared in the coming week, store officials said.
