'Remember what you are!' Kristen Taekman seizes the opportunity to promote her nail varnish business after husband Josh is exposed as a user of cheating website

  • Josh Taekman spent thousands on Ashley Madison site, with 62 different transactions on a credit card linked to the couple's New York home
  • Initially denied using site when DailyMail.com exposed his account, before admitting he signed up 'foolishly'
  • Other stars caught using the site include Snooki's husband Jionni LaValle

Her husband of ten years has just been exposed as a user of affair website Ashley Madison.

And while it must be an overwhelming time for Real Housewives Of New York star Kristen Taekman, she isn't one to miss any opportunity to promote herself.

The model turned reality star gave her nail varnish line Pop Of Colour By Kristen Taekman a welcome boost in profile on Tuesday with a timely Instagram post.

Strain: Kristen admitted to tensions over the show. 'After every episode, viewers would go on Twitter and tell me to divorce my husband…I am really bummed at how he was portrayed,' she said last year. They are seen cuddling in California last week

She shared a picture of a mirror bearing the message 'Just remember what you are... a motherf***** superstar'.

Balanced on top were a handful of bottles of her brightly coloured polish line.

The mother-of-two also tweeted a message to her fans, telling them simply: 'Thank you all so much for your kind words and support'.

Her messages came after DailyMail.com revealed that her husband was a paying user of the hacked site for cheating spouses.

The hackers released evidence that the energy supplement entrepreneur logged on and had 62 paid transactions, and spent thousands on the cheaters' site.

While Josh Taekman initially denied being a user of the site, Kristen, 38, is sure to be doubting her marriage in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Amongst the trove of data released online were an email address JTeezy012@gmail.com, and a credit card with the billing address listed as the couple's rented New York home - where they filmed episodes of RHONY.

Ashley Madison is accessible for free to women but male users must buy credits to send messages: $49 gets 100 credits while $250 earns 1,000 credits and a money-back 'affair guarantee' if you don't have an affair within three months.

Taekman told DailyMail.com on Monday: 'I don’t understand. There’s not a shot in hell that I’m a subscriber. I have no knowledge of that this is the first I’ve ever heard of it.

But by Tuesday he had changed his tune: 'I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family.

'We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.'

Taekman is far from alone in his use of the site - others exposed include reality star Snooki's husband Jionni LaValle.

That is unlikely to provide much comfort to model Kristen, 38, who has been married to Josh for ten years, and has two children with him.

Taekman who co-founded Vitalize Labs, the company behind energy supplement EBOOST, appears to have been active on the site for three years with his online activity seeming to stop in June 2014.

The couple first started appearing on Housewives in the spring of 2014.

During this period viewers of the Real Housewives of New York witnessed the couple's often strained marriage on screen with their frequent bickering becoming a talking point of their debut season, season six.

One of the major strains on the couple was the health of their daughter Kingsley, who viewers saw struggle developmentally - especially when it came to learning to walk.

And while Taekman, 46, was supportive of his child, the couple frequently argued.

Kristen later told Ok Magazine: 'The show was wonderful therapy. Our marriage is more balanced than viewers might think.'

In May it was revealed that Taekman had been unhappy with the way he was portrayed on the show and that the couple had had 'long discussions' before signing up for another season.
