Aldi Will Now Deliver Groceries Nationwide With the Help of Instacart

Last year, Aldi partnered with Instacart for a pilot program testing grocery delivery in four cities: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas.

Clearly, it was well-received, as the Germany-based supermarket recently announced it will now deliver nationwide with the help of Instacart.

“The response to the ALDI pilot programs in Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago have been overwhelmingly positive,” Apoorva Mehta, founder and CEO of Instacart, said in a press release. “Bringing delivery to ALDI stores across the US enables Instacart to grow its base of customers and introduce even more people to same-day grocery delivery,”

And delivery is arriving to cities much sooner than later.

According to Aldi’s press release, online ordering will be available across 35 states in 5,000 new zip codes by Thanksgiving.

So that pumpkin liqueur everyone’s been raving about lately? You just might be able to get it delivered straight to your door. (That is, if the liqueur makes its return to U.S. Aldi stores.)

“ALDI is a pioneer and a leader in creating a shopping experience that works with people’s busy lives,” said Jason Hart, CEO of Aldi U.S., in the same release. “Our partnership with Instacart and the expansion of our e-commerce options are more ways we are meeting the growing needs of today’s shopper, who wants high-quality food at unbeatable prices.”

The national rollout will include 75 major markets, including San Diego, New York City, Miami, Raleigh and Minneapolis.

For those who have never shopped at an Aldi store, here’s just a taste of what you can expect: fresh groceries, organic product, antibiotic-free meat, fresh seafood and plenty of addicting, inexpensive snacks and healthy drinks.

In true Instacart form, groceries will be delivered to your front door in as little as one hour. Or you can schedule the delivery for up to one week later. And to celebrate this partnership, first-time Instacart customers will receive $10 off their first three Aldi orders of $35 or more. Just use the code “ALDILOVE.”

“Like ALDI, Instacart is focused on delivering value and making quality food accessible and affordable to everyone. We’re excited to work together to further innovate the shopping experience with fast delivery and low prices for ALDI customers,” says Mehta.
