How you can buy Heath Ledger’s iconic ‘Brokeback Mountain’ jeans

I wish I knew how to fit you!

A pair of Levi’s jeans and a pair of ranch-hand gloves worn by late actor Heath Ledger in the Academy Award-winning 2005 film “Brokeback Mountain” will go up for auction Thursday, The Post has learned.

Bidding will begin at a $15,000 minimum.

The blue jeans, a pair of Levi’s 501 XX sized with a 34-inch waist, come worn in with scuffs of dirt, “as would have been the case for a Wyoming ranch hand,” says Nate D. Sanders, a Los Angeles-based auctioneer. The brown gloves, soft and worn, have the name “ENNIS” written on the inside in each in black marker that’s faded with time.

Ennis Del Mar was the name of Ledger’s character in the movie, which tracks the complicated romantic affair the Wyoming shepherd shares with a rodeo cowboy, Jack Twist, who was played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Both Ledger and Gyllenhaal were Oscar nominees for their roles in the film, which helped thrust the Australia-born Ledger into the prime of his career. The success of “Brokeback Mountain” was followed by Ledger’s powerful role as The Joker in “The Dark Knight,” for which he won his only Oscar in 2009 — posthumously.

In 2008, Ledger died of an accidental prescription drug overdose in New York City at age 28.

The website notes the jeans and gloves come with a certificate of authenticity from Focus Features, which distributed the film to theaters.
