Police are seeking witnesses in regards to a Red Citroen Xsara Picasso travelling on or near to the A595 Millom to Whitehaven road on the night of Wednesday, December 13.
The driver was subsequently arrested at 12.17am on Thursday, December at Holmrook for dangerous driving, driving under the influence of drugs, and other motoring offences.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to the southbound vehicle at Holmrook that narrowly avoided a head-on collision with the Citroen just prior to the vehicle being stopped.
