Animators on HBO’s “Animated Epics: The Canterbury Tales” and Ja’Net DuBois of Fox’s “The PJs” have been awarded this year’s Emmy trophies for individual achievement in animation.

The three categories are among Emmy’s juried awards, in which there are no nominations, and winners are determined by a panel of judges from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ animation and performers peer groups.

Ashley Potter and Les Mills won the individual achievement in animation award for their work on “Animated Epics: The Canterbury Tales: Leaving London.” Joanna Quinn earned the trophy for outstanding animator and production design for the same series, produced by S4C, HBO and BBC Wales in association with aka Pizazz, Beryl Prods., Christmas Films, Picasso Pictures and Right Angle.

DuBois was honored in the voice-over perf category for her role as the shifty Mrs. Avery on “The PJs,” the foamation Fox comedy series produced by Imagine TV, the Murphy Co., Will Vinton Studios and Touchstone TV.
