Canada

Data Center Critical Facilities Manager
Location: Toronto, Ontario 

A  leading colocation provider in Toronto, Ontario is looking for an experienced critical facility manager to support a mission critical data center in the growing Canadian market.

This individual will be responsible to managing the operation and maintenance of the facility’s infrastructure, as well as manager mechanical and electrical technicians.

This position requires 7-10 years of data center and critical facility operations and maintenance experience. The chosen candidate will operate and manage both routine and emergency service on a variety of critical systems such as: medium voltage switchgear, diesel generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers and more.

Arizona

Lead Electrical Engineer
Location: Phoenix, Ariz.

This high-level engineering opportunity is with a colocation provider that provides data center solutions and reliability of mission-critical facilities for many of the world’s largest organizations.

This role is one of many data center electrical and mechanical engineering roles throughout the U.S. open with this provider, ranging from Sunnyvale, Calif., to Ashburn, Va.

Responsibilities include creating conceptual designs, representing the company in project meetings, managing projects and serving in an electrical engineering design role for complex facility design projects.

California 

Data Center Construction Superintendent
Location: Sunnyvale, Calif.

This opportunity is with a leading mission-critical data center developer/wholesaler/colo provider.  This firm provides data center solutions custom-fit to the requirements of their client’s mission-critical operational facilities. They provide reliability of mission-critical facilities for many of the world’s largest organizations.

The candidate chosen for this data center construction superintendent, located in Sunnyvale, Calif, will be responsible for all field activities associated with the project, including supervision of all field construction work by electrical and mechanical subcontractors and self-performed work. The candidate is expected to have five or more years of data center and critical facilities MEP construction experience. Project size, scope, and complexity for the years of experience will also be a large factor in the ultimate hiring process.

The hire is responsible for establishing and managing the critical work environment project objectives, performance standards,  planning and methods of procedures, as well as keep in constant contact with subcontractors to ensure timely work to keep project on time and within budget.

New York

Electrical Engineer — Critical Facilities 
Location: New York City 

This electrical engineer position based in NYC needs a candidate with five to 10 years of experience, as well as a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. The candidate must also be familiar with the design process of building systems for mission critical projects.

The firm is search of a new engineer is a provide of mission-critical solutions and provides solutions that are custom-fit to the requirements of their client’s mission-critical facilities.

The candidate chosen will manage projects, create designs and place, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering design role. He or she will also oversee the commissioning process as needed.

Northern Virginia

Construction Project Manager – Data Center
Location: Ashburn, Va.

As advertised, this position is open in the Ashburn, Va. market, within the ever-growing colocation market in Northern Virginia. The company also has additional data center construction roles through the U.S., including Sunnyvale, Calif, Dallas, Texas, Boston, Columbus, Ohio, and more.

Requirements include experience managing data center constructions projects as well as familiarity with the design process of building systems for data center and mission critical projects.

Responsibilities include planning and organizing large scale data center construction projects, as well as putting together critical facilities construction project plans, costs, scheduling and timeline.

Data Center Facility Engineer
Location: Ashburn, Va.

A provider in Ashburn, Va. is looking for a data center engineer to support a critical data center. The chosen candidate should have five or more years of relevant experience with power, electrical and mechanical equipment, including generators, critical and essential PDUs, UPS, switchgear, air handling units, among other technology.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and running diagnostics, participating in the preparation of analyses and reports on the data center infrastructure, assisting with CMMS database management and more.

The colocation provider prefers candidates with data center operations experience, as well as technical knowledge and practical experience of operating, troubleshooting and maintenance of mission critical mechanical and/or electrical support systems.

MEP Superintendent — Critical Facilities
Location: Baskerville, Va.

The new MEP superintendent for a provider of mission-critical design build solutions in Baskerville, Va., will be responsible for field activities associate with the construction projects, as well as supervision of all field construction work.

This position opening requires eight or more years of data center  and critical facilities MEP construction experience. Experience in directing and/or supporting the commissioning effort is desired, as well.

The chosen new MEP superintendent will work with primary clients, as well as the construction project manager, subcontractors and other vendors integral to the completion of construction activities. Upon completion of the project, the superintendent will ensure that the project closeout process is finalized, demobilize all resources, and transition the project to the client.

Texas

Commissioning Project Manager
 Location: San Antonio, Texas

This commissioning project manager position is with a company that provides critical facilities assessment and commissioning services in the U.S. and requires seven to 10 years of experience in the electrical and mechanical field. Previous data center  and mission critical experience a must. This San Antonio-based position needs a candidate who can manage projects, plan, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary electrical engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.

Verticals to be covered include government, commercial, financial services, hospitals, or  institutional in large or complex facilities and mission critical facilities. This position includes everything from equipment pre-start and start-up procedures to reviewing design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation.

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas

This opening for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer is with a provider of commissioning, consulting and management expertise in data centers and mission critical facilities. This is a career-growth minded opportunity that offers projects with leading-edge technology.

This Dallas position requires five to 10 years experience in the mechanical/HVAC Field. The chosen candidate will participate in daily commissioning activity meetings for development of standard operating procedures, report writing, preparing commissioning test procedures and reports, reviewing design criteria and more.

Previous data center and mission critical experience is a must, and P.E. and/or LEED Accreditation is a huge plus for this employer.
