Congratulations are in order for Dom Lever and Jessica Shears, who are engaged.

The couple met on this year's Love Island, where they coupled up after Dom's previous attempt to couple up with Montana Brown.

Dom popped the question to his girlfriend Jess on the eve of the TV Choice Awards earlier this month, just three months after meeting for the first time. Young love, eh?

"It happened the night before the TV Choice Awards [on September 4]," Jess told OK! Magazine.

"We were staying in a lovely apartment in London. Dom had filled it with flowers and had got us a bottle of champagne. I was doing a Snapchat video saying how lucky I felt when he called me out onto the terrace.

"I was grinning like a Cheshire Cat when Dom got down on one knee – he said afterwards that he has never seen me smile like that!"

Despite only knowing each other for three months, Dom insisted he knew he wanted to marry Jess just one week after leaving the villa.

"Before I went on Love Island I would have judged someone for proposing this quickly, but spending so much time together in the villa really cemented my feelings for Jess," he said.

"After the first week of being back in the UK, I knew I was going to marry her. As far as I'm concerned, when you know something is right, why wait?"

Jess added: "I can see why people would say we're rushing into things, but it feels like I've known Dom a lifetime."

Jess also revealed the pair are looking to have an intimate ceremony abroad with just a few friends and family present.

So we take it Muggy Mike won't be invited...

"We'd like to do it abroad, either in the south of France or somewhere in Greece like Santorini," she said.

"We don't want a big wedding, I only want our close family and friends there because, to me, that is what your wedding day is all about."

Congratulations!
