With production now finally wrapped on his final and most explosive Bond film yet, Daniel Craig still looks, as ever, the part. In a recent photo shared on the official 007 Instagram account, the 51-year old English actor seamlessly steps back into the role of a British spy, this time thwarting a world-ending plot involving artificially-constructed (and disastrous) weather phenomena.

Very little is yet know about the overall narrative behind “No Time To Die,” aside from its 2020 release date. Starring Rami Malek as the new Bond baddie, Safin, along with returning cast members Jeffrey Wright, playing CIA agent Felix Leiter, Naomi Harris as Moneypenny, and Léa Seydoux portraying Madeleine Swann, the film will round out not only Bond’s journey but Craig’s as the character, as well.

“No Time To Die” will be Craig’s fifth and final depiction of the British spy, codenamed 007. Despite being a seemingly perfect fit for the role, it’s clear he’s had enough of it, as he himself stated in a 2015 interview with CNN: “I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

And yet, four years later, Craig again stars as the titular character, even with setbacks like breaking an ankle mid-shoot in Jamaica. Though this newest iteration has yet to even hit theaters, many fans now wonder who will be the next 007? It’s hard to tell, and even though he may have long been through with the spy, Craig still has many feelings held within his heart on his time spent as James Bond.

In a video posted on social media, Craig thanked his cast and crew with warm congratulations for finishing filming. He says:

“I just want to say – and I am really quite drunk now so I won't go on for long – this has been one of the best, most wonderful experiences I have ever had…You have all done the most amazing job. I could not be more proud to work with every single one of you on this production. I would like to thank you for this evening, for Barbara [Broccoli, producer], for putting it on. Thank goodness, we did this tonight, because I love you.”

With the cast also including Christoph Waltz as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who’s not only a long-time Bond archenemy but was also revealed to be his foster-brother in 2015’s “Spectre,” the upcoming 25th Bond film is in for one wild turn of events.

James Bond’s “No Time To Die” speeds into cinemas on April 8, 2020.
