While Tupperware is one of the most beloved products in kitchens across the country, the one place where these containers are not welcome is weddings. One bride from Pennsylvania took to Facebook this week to recollect a supposed situation at her own nuptials involving Tupperware and a rather thoughtless guest.

The bride took to the Facebook group “That’s it I’m Wedding Shaming” to share the eyebrow-raising story about the incident, laying out some context about the guest and her day. “My husband and I had a very small wedding ceremony and reception, probably about 25 people were invited,” she shared. “Only close family and a handful of friends.”

Several days leading up to the nuptials, a family friend asked if it would be okay if he brought his daughter and his son-in-law to the wedding. At the time, the bride “didn’t have a problem with it,” until the originally uninvited guest showed up… with a few items of her own.

“She loaded up 7 Tupperware containers with food to take home,” the bride revealed. “[She] took about 3 containers of homemade cookies, a couple of bottles of beers, and most [of] the centerpieces.”

The couple was so preoccupied with their loved ones the day of that they didn’t notice the bizarre behavior at the actual reception. It wasn’t until the father of the bride recalled the uncomfortable situation to his daughter the morning after the wedding.

The bride went on to express that the guest wasn’t poor or in need of food. In fact, to make matter worse, the newlyweds received a rather unnerving wedding gift from the supposed offender. “She gave us $5. Not even kidding. A five dollar bill,” she continued.
