Ricoh – a Japanese printer, imaging, and electronics company announced a new Handy printer which can print anything from a text to a QR just by sliding it on a paper. Defying the old system of feeding papers into the printer, the new Ricoh Handy Printer can easily print where you want it to print, just by placing it over the surface.
The printer weighs just 315g making it more convenient and portable. It can easily print on paper – labels, envelopes, postcards; and clothes, shoes, cardboard including many other items. Unlike the rest of printers, Handy Printer can print QR codes, illustrations and images effectively without wasting any time.
Ricoh Handy Printer uses water-resistant ink and supports mechanism to dry the wet ink quickly. The printer supports 600 x 600 dpi resolution and can be used continuously for two hours.
It is quite simple to use the device via its official mobile App. Users can download the official app to input the text and adjust other settings before printing. There are two printing modes – Scroll mode and Slide mode. The scroll mode is used for small scale printing and is best suitable for printing text, barcodes, and QR codes. Whereas, the slider mode is used to print images, involving machine movement in different directions.
Ricoh Handy printer’s ease of use features makes it more useful. Users can easily position it while printing using its side clip. Moreover, easy ink replacement and strap hole make it a perfect portable printer.
It is available in three different colors – White, Gray, and Dark Red. the handheld printer is scheduled for sale on April 17 for the price of NT$14,445 roughly translates to $128 and 862 Yuan.
